ABOUT  THE  BAND

Charlie Basford
is a five generation Floridian who listened to country music growing up. He played bass in school. Charlie played with "C & The Midnights," a blues and Rock & Roll band and with two bluegrass bands, "On the Edge" and "Sugarland Grass." If there is a music jam going on, you will find him there.

Vivian Taylor
was born in Kentucky and raised near Bill Monroe's family on the backside of Jerusalem Ridge. She has been on stage since she was 4 years old. Vivian sang with the gospel group "One Way People" for over 20 years and with "Jubilation" for another 5 years. She found bluegrass again when she met Glen Taylor at the Rosine Music Barn. They later married. Vivian has a strong lead voice, also singing harmony with the band.
Dan Nelson
grew up in his native Michigan listening to old time country music played by his mother, grandfather and two uncles. Over the last 35 years, he has played banjo with "Family Tradition," "Ray Scalf & The Clay County Travelers," and has stepped in with "Bill Grant and Delia Bell" and "Emma Smith." In 1996 he moved to northern Alabama and joined the "Foggy Hollow Band" until 2002. In addition to banjo, Dan plays guitar, dobro and sings lead and harmony.
Glen Taylor
was born in Kentucky and learned to play guitar as a tool for his songwriting talent. Along with his wife, he started the group "General Delivery," a bluegrass gospel band in which he played bass and guitar and recorded 3 music albums. He has worked with "Vince Combs and Shadetree Grass," "Joe Isaacs" and the "Larry Gillis Band." Glen is a prolific songwriter and provides the band with most of its original material. Glen plays guitar and sings harmony.
